There is a small local skiing hill with a ski lift approx. 2 km from the house. This is only open on weekends in case of heavy snowfall.

If you continue approx. 55 km along route 26 towards Jønkøbing you will reach the ski and sports center Isaberg.

We get our water via a well, drilled more than 60 meters underground in the backyard.

We have had a visit from a company that checked the water quality, and which verified it to be of highly good quality.

The town of Torup is approx. 1.5 kilometers from the house.

In Torup there are several different shops such as:

• Drugstore
• Automated Teller Machine
• Builders merchant

In the red shed building there are approx. 10-12 older bikes, you are welcome to borrow. It is possible that some of them need a little air or such. In addition, and here you’ll also find 2 Weber barbecue grills, which you are welcome to use.

In the house there’s a total of 38 -46 sleeping places.

They are divided into 3 bedrooms on the ground floor with 10-12 beds and 10 bedrooms on the first floor with a total of 28-34 beds.

• 8 x single beds – box mattresses (8 sleepin spots) 90 x 200 cm
• 8 x one-and-a-half-person beds – box mattresses (8-16 sleepin spots) 120 x 200 cm
• 6 extra foam mattresses for extra overnight guests on the floor 80 x 200 cm

In the kitchen there is a dining area for up to 8 people.

Cutlery, dishes and such are provided for approx. 45 people, also an electric kettle, a double coffee machine, a mixer, an electric whisk and more.

In addition, the kitchen contains two ordinary dishwashers, a stove with 4 burners + an oven, a ceramic glass hob with 4 burners and a built-in oven (a total of 2 ovens and 8 burners), 2 refrigerators (approx. 180L each), and a large boxfreezer (approx. 50L).

Yes – in the basement below the kitchen there is a regular Miele washing machine and a tumble dryer.

Yes – approximately 20 km down the road in one of the two villages of Fegen and Ätran. Here you can rent canoes etc.

Scandinavia’s largest department store, Gekås in Ullared, is approx. 35 km (approx. 35 minutes’ drive) from the house. Here there is a large department store and many different outlet stores, including shoes, sportswear, places to eat, etc.

Yes it is. There is a lake for bathing and the beach is in the outskirts of the town of Torup just 2 km from the house. There is a larger lake with the possibility to take a head dive, approximately 10 km from the house, on the left side of the road towards Ätran.

No, no pets. (No cats or larger dogs) Exceptions can be arranged, but it requires that the tenant can vouch for the house being handed over without damage inside, or droppings left outside that other tenants can step into later on.

Yes, there is a plug installed on the outside of the wall at the rear exit for a “grandmother” charger.

In the neighboring town of Hyltebruk, about 10 km from the house, there is a charging station with fast chargers on the square Storgatan 15, Hyltebruk.

Yes, there is WIFI in the house. A router in the TV room is connected to Fibernet and in addition there are 2 signal amplifiers on the 1st floor.

There are many great sights and options near the house.

There is a waterfall approx. 15-20 minutes on foot from the house, which is called Bosgårdsfallet, Bosgårdsvägen 39, 314 41 Torup, Sweden.

Every Thursday throughout the summer there is a sing-along in the park by the lake in Torup, around 5 – 6 pm.

Every Wednesday you can go to the car bingo at the “sports field”, which is approx. 500 meters from the house. This probably starts around 18 – 19.00. (if it hasn’t rescheduled after Covid19)

In the town of Torup you will find a small bathing lake called Sjögårdssjön. In addition to being easily accessible, due to walkways and a wheelchair ramp, it is also a picturesque area for a stroll.

Another lovelely trip could be a drive to the local ski hill. From the foot of the hill there is a good hike up to it’s highest point. On the way into town there is a sign, with a skiing symbol, which can be seen from the road, when you come towards Jønkøbing, as well as on the way out of town towards Falkenberg.

The Isaberg ski resort is located approx. 60 km from the house.

The well-known hiking trail “Hallandsleden” is near by.

At the roundabout just outside Torup, you can drive to Rydabruk. A few km further on there is a huge rock, “Knysta” on the left. This is one of several Giant’s Stones, said to have been thrown by a giant from Norway, to mark the former Danish-Swedish border. The Swedish King and Queen visited the site in September 2001 and signed the stone in person.

It is also here in this city, close to the golf club, that you will find the Michelin restaurant that makes pizza and gourmet food at relatively affordable prices. This place is called Knystaforsen, or Charlottenlund Gårdhotell.

In addition, there is an approx. 14 meter tall observation tower just outside Torup, approx. 400 meters after the roundabout on the way to Rydø. You can possibly try googling “Ramnås utkikstorn”. It can be a bit difficult to find, so here are a few directions: From the roundabout in Torup, drive approx. 200 meters towards Rydö / Rydabruk and the golf course. (We were there in the summer of 2022, but it was closed for repairs) At the sign “Ramnås”, turn right and follow the road approx. 200-400 meters until you come to a road on your right, which is blocked by a barrier. Here you park the car and continue on foot straight ahead up the asphalt road towards the farm, but just before the red barn, you go to the right along a small path, which after approx. 10-15 minutes walk up a steep hill ends at Ramnås Tower.

The town of Hyltebruk is located approx. 10-12 km from the house. Here you’ll find two different second hand stores. “The Red Cross store” and “MP House”. Please check the opening days and hours online.

If you come by car, I can recommend that you go on a moose safari – possibly at “Småland Moose Safari” (Småland Moose Safari, Misterhult 2032, 285 91 Markaryd, Sweden approx. 100km from the house). However, it is possible that there actually might be a park that is situated even closer to the location of the house.

Only 15 minutes from Småland Moose Safari is Godisflyget (Godis Fly, 280 40, Snapphaneallén 2, 280 40 Skånes Fagerhult, Sweden). It is a home-built airplane turned into a mix-it-yourself candy shop. It is worth a visit and the prices are really good.

Another option is to visit scandinavias largest department store Gekäs (Danska vägen 13, 311 60 Ullared) and go shopping. They have everything you can imagine and then some. It only takes about 40. minites by car from the house. The best time to arrive is around opening time in the morning, or an hour, an hour and a half before closing time, if you want to avoid the huge queues.

If you drive past Gekås you will come to Varberg (approx. 60 km away from the house). Here is an old medieval castle, an incredibly beautiful bathing establishment, a glassblowing workshop, etc.

You can also take a short trip to Halmstad. They have a pleasant shopping street, the old buildings and shopping opportunities, indoor go-karting, paintball and a lot of other things.

Around Halmstad, there is a beautiful estate/farm “Wapnøgård” with a cafe, farm shop, a wonderful milking cow carousel, etc.

In addition, there is a thrift store in Fröslida, the famous Danskafallet and much, much more
